How long does a consulting engagement take?
Focused reviews, such as a second opinion on a proposal or a stack decision, can be done in days. A full architecture and code audit or modernization roadmap usually takes a few weeks, depending on the size of your systems and how many people we need to speak with. We agree the timeline before starting.
What drives the cost of software consulting?
Cost depends on the number and size of systems to review, how many stakeholders we interview, the depth of analysis required, such as security or performance testing, and the format of the deliverables. A narrow question costs far less than a full audit. We provide a fixed quote after a free consultation.
How do you handle access to our code and data?
We sign an NDA before any access. We prefer read-only access to repositories, staging environments and dashboards, and we never copy production data unless you approve it. Access is revoked at the end of the engagement, and findings are shared only with the people you name.
Will you just recommend that we hire you to rebuild everything?
No. We often recommend fixing and extending what you have, or using an off-the-shelf product, because that is cheaper and faster. If a rebuild is the right call, we explain why with evidence. You are free to deliver the plan with your own team or another vendor.
